Lire et écrire en langue innue – niveau 1

Seven Innu Classroom Assistants from Peenamin McKenzie School in Sheshatshiu, Labrador participated in this five-day workshop on reading and writing in Innu-aimun. The workshop was organized and funded by the Sheshatshiu Innu First Nation and the CURA Project. It was directed by Dr. Marguerite MacKenzie, and assisted by Laurel Anne Hasler.
As the group had had no previous training in the common spelling system for Innu-aimun, the focus of the workshop was to teach the main spelling rules.
